AIDA 1 INTRODUCTION TO FREEDIVING


DESCRIPTION

This course is designed to be an introduction to freediving for complete beginners. It aims to help the students to develop basic skills, knowledge and safety procedures necessary to enjoy freediving safely within the limits of their experience.

AIDA2 FREEDIVER COURSE


DESCRIPTION

The AIDA2 Course is the foundation course of AIDA, covering the necessary skills and knowledge for a non-competitive recreational freediver to safely freedive with or without a dive-line. It is a beginner course designed for students who are already confident in the water.

The purpose of the course is to familiarize the student with the skills, knowledge, safety procedures and enjoyment of freediving. Students will be introduced to the basic disciplines of freediving: Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea, Free Immersion and Constant Weight freediving.

The course is NOT aiming toward competitive freediving and shall not include competition rules and regulations. The static and dynamic sessions in confined water are to be used to teach relaxation, breathing, fining and safety techniques. In the open water sessions students will use the skills they have learned in the pool / confined water sessions and will combine these with the basic skills of open water freediving such as Equalizing, Duck Diving, Vertical Swimming, Body Positioning, Turns and Use of Buoyancy.

AIDA3 ADVANCED FREEDIVER


DESCRIPTION

The AIDA3 Advanced Freediver Course builds on the skills learnt in the AIDA2 Freediver Course. It is designed to cover the necessary skills and knowledge for a recreational freediver to be able to safely freedive with or without a guideline. The aim of the course is to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to independently plan and participate in freediving activities with similarly experienced freedive buddies.

The course is designed to further develop skills from previous levels, develop new skills and a higher knowledge of safety procedures and techniques for freediving such as Free Falling, Frenzel Equalizing, Training Tables, the risks of increasing and decreasing pressure and how to minimize these risks.

Students will train these skills in the most common disciplines of freediving; Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea, Free Immersion and Constant Weight. Competition rules for these disciplines should not be used.

AIDA 4 MASTER FREEDIVER (ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR)


DESCRIPTION

The AIDA4 Master Freediver Course is the highest level of training attainable within the scope of recreational freediving. Students will be also familiarized with techniques, knowledge and safety procedures for deep freediving that goes beyond recreational freediving, such as FRC diving, mouth-fill equalization and packing. Students will develop their skills within these categories of freediving: Static Apnea, Dynamic Apnea, Constant Weight, Free Immersion and Variable Weight (optional), even though the main focus is on Constant Weight. Besides the in-water skills, the students will be introduced to full body warm-ups and stretching, specific stretching of breathing muscles, training concepts and diet that will benefit their freediving development. Also, an introduction to packing and reverse packing mainly within vital capacity is part of this course.

Another purpose of this course is to prepare successful candidates for the role of assistant Instructors. This includes Leading an appropriate warm-up session for confined and open water freediving, supervising students of all course levels during their confined or open water sessions whilst being supervised by an Instructor, Independently setting up and managing open water equipment: use of appropriate knots and braiding technique, setting the depth on the dive line, safe handling of other additional equipment (bottom plate, torches, lanyards, etc.).

INSTRUCTOR COURSE


DESCRIPTION

The Instructor Course is designed for those who are interested to teach freediving and to spread the sport of freediving around the world with a safe and fun methodology.

The Instructor Course consists of intensive personal workshops to develop your freedive knowledge, teaching skills and personal training techniques; as well as workshop sessions in the water and practical sessions teaching students.

Our aim is to produce highly experienced Instructors who have all the required teaching skills and freedive knowledge to be successful in their Instructor career.

1- 2 weeks of learning and 1-2 weeks of practicing teaching real students while supervised by your instructor trainer
